MRI centers provide MRI imaging services such as MRAs, MRIs, Weight Bearing MRIs, Neuroquant, and Arthrograms. MRAs evaluate blood vessels, MRIs evaluate soft tissues, Weight Bearing MRIs evaluate the lumbar spine in a compressed state, Neuroquants evaluate the brain, and Arthrograms evaluate soft tissue in the joints. MRI imaging can examine almost every part of the body to help doctors diagnose diseases and injuries and monitor progression.
What Are the Rules For MRI Imaging?
You will be asked to remove your clothing and jewelry in a secure and private changing room and change into a gown. Metal objects such as snaps and zippers in your clothing can interfere with the MRI imaging. Patients who take medications or have heart pacemakers, medication pumps, or other implants, need to inform their physician of their conditions before MRI imaging. This information can determine whether or not MRI imaging is the best option and what special considerations are necessary.
